WHAT MAKES SANDY NECK SPECIAL
Sandy Neck Light, built in 1827 (current tower 1857), sits on Sandy Neck Beach and requires a substantial beach walk to reach. This decommissioned lighthouse offers visitors a chance to explore a more remote lighthouse setting while enjoying one of Cape Cod's most beautiful barrier beaches.
The lighthouse was deactivated in 1952 when modern navigation made it unnecessary, but it remains a historic landmark on this pristine stretch of Cape Cod Bay shoreline.
